Cover and article (The Story of a Half-Million Cakes of Ice- p. 7) from the February 1927 issue of the Southern Pacific Bulletin describing how ice, used to cool refrigerator cars, is cut at the Pacific Fruit Express' natural ice plant at Carlin, Nevada. Carlin was a re-icing station for perishable shipments.
