This beautifully illustrated booklet includes thirty-seven hand painted figural drawings mainly representing Chinese Immortals (or deities) and whimsical figures. There is also a black line drawing of the logo for the 'Arctic Packing Co. Salmon.' The original artist is Ma Wing Chong (also known as M.W. Buck, 1888-1959) who was a teamster and laborer in Placer County and citizen of Auburn. The father of Ma Wing Chong, Kee Chinn, arrived in Auburn in the early 1850s and was a prominent local merchant and leader in the community., Text is written in Cantonese and a portion of the illustrations have been roughly translated, including: Flying Golden Dragon, Fire God, Immortal Buddha, God with Three Eyes, Two-Faced Immortal, Three-Headed Buddha, Day and Night, Heavenly Old Buddha, Monkey King, Immortal, Three-Eyed Heavenly King, and Water God.
