This scrapbook primarily contains worldwide newspaper clippings documenting notable moments in the life of prominent Californian and philanthropist, Alma de Bretteville Spreckels. A significant portion is dedicated to her founding of the California Palace of the Legion of Honor museum in San Francisco during the early 1920s, as well as her family and social circle.
