October 23, 1952 W 23-1-100 Mr. Rex N. Moss 2000 Fremont Stret Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Sir: Referring to our conversation a few days ago concerning the installation of water mains to serve Moss Tract No. 3, To adequately serve the Tract, we estimate it will require the installation of 3120 LF of 6" cast iron water mains in location as indicted by solid blue line on the attached print. The estimated cost of constructing the water mains is the sum of $11,960, which amount pursuant to Nevada Public Service Commission Rule 9, will be subject to refund. The City Authorities advise that i t will be necessary to install four fire hydrants to provide adequate fire protection to the Subdivision. The estimated cost of con-structing 6" cast iron water lines to these hydrants is $480.00 which amount is not subject to refund. In addition i t will be necessary that you secure from the city at your own expense the four fire hydrants, the cost of which will likewise not be subject to refund. Each of the above estimates includes a contingency item of 10% which is to cover any unforeseen increase in material and other cost. Our contract will provide, among other things, that you deposit the estimated cost of $12,440.00 and in the event actual cost of the work should be less than your deposit, the Water Company will refund to you such excess amount. In the event, however, that the actual cost should exceed the amount of your deposit, you will, upon receipt of b i l l , reimburse the Water Company for such additional cost.
