Plain, raised, small handleless and rimless elongated bowl with wide, curved, U-shaped spout and slight peak at back edge; flat bottom, no foot ring. Bottom underside struck once "N.VERNON." in raised roman letters in a sawtooth rectangle.
Maker is Nathaniel Vernon (1777-1843) of Charleston, SC; working after 1802 (appears in Charleston directories as Vernon & Co. and N. Vernon & Co.).
