Type ART-Miscellaneous Medium Cards, Collecting Physical Description No. 1 and No. 2 from a series of collecting cards about ballooning. Each has a printed image on the front, with description of the event in French on the reverse. 'Collection 476. Romanet & Cie. Imp. Edit. Paris.' No. 1: Image shows a monument and medallion honoring the Montgolfier brothers. A scene from one of their ascensions is in the background. No. 2: Image shows the first ballooning experience at Annonay on June 4, 1783. Balloon is ascending with a celebrating crowd below.
