This spacesuit was worn by Donald "Deke" Slayton, docking module pilot of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP). The mission which, which took place in July, 1975, was the first time astronauts from the US Space Program and Cosmonauts from the Soviet Space Program docked their respective spacecraft and shook hands in space.

The spacesuit was made by the International Latex Corporation, with the designation A-7LB, and weighed approximately 65 pounds. The suit is in the intra-vehicular configuration, and contained slight modifications from the A7LB lunar mission suits.

Transferred from NASA in 1977
