This so-called "10^7" gyroscope was built by the AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors (later spun off as the Delphi Corporation) for use in the guidance systems of the Thor IRBM, and the Mace guided missile. It represents a very early example (1956-1963) of ballistic missile inertial guidance.
