This is a trading card from the television show "Battlestar Galactica" that ran for one season on ABC from 1978 to 1979. Despite its very short run, the show made a mark, continuing as "Galactica 1980" in 1980 and in a rebooted miniseries (2003) and a television series also called "Battlestar Galactica" on Sci-Fi from 2004 through 2009.
The fan following for "Battlestar Galactica" inspired merchandise including comics and games, trading cards, figurines, and other items.
The card, that depicts two Cylon soldiers, was donated to the Smithsonian Institution in 2005 by Gregory K. H. Bryant.
