NASA used this support bracket to hold the IMAX payload bay camera prior to installation and during use in its special container in the payload bay of the space shuttle. This black bracket was attached to the camera while the long support rods sat in a base unit prior to loading in the container. Using a sling, the camera was lifted off the base and installed in the container.
Gift of the IMAX Corporation in 2011.
