Stewardess

American Airlines, 1936–37

Alice Lambert wore this uniform while flying on Curtiss Condors and Douglas DC-2s and DC-3s for American Airlines. Following the nautical theme started by Pan Am, American called its airplanes “flagships,” a term that appears on the left sleeve.
