This is a standard issue Royal Australian Air Force summer or tropical service coat issued during the 1970s.
This uniform was worn by Air Marshall Sir Colin Hannah KCMG, KCVO, KBE, CB. Born 1914, he graduated at Point Cook in 1936. He served during World War Two in the South-West Pacific as Commanding Officer of No. 6 Squadron (Beauforts) and No. 71 Wing (a Beaufort Strike Wing), he was SASO (Senior Air Staff Officer) Western Area in 1944-1945. He served as the Australian Air Force Air Attache in the late 1968-69 before becoming Chief of the Australian Air Staff in 1970-72. After Hannah's retirement from the Air Force became the Governor of Queensland (1972-1977). Air Marshal Hannah died in 1978.

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) khaki drill tropical service coat ; single breasted with open collar; four brass buttons down front with embossed eagle surmounted by a Queen's Crown; two upper button flap pockets; two lower flaps; RAAF pilot's badge (white embroidered wings on black felt; light blue wreath surrounds "RAAF" in center of badge; St. Edward's (Queen's) crown surmounts wreath and "RAAF") over left breast pocket, nine medal ribbons (Order of the British Empire, Commendation for Distinguished Service, 1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star, Defence Medal, British War Medal 1939-1945, Australian Service Medal 1939-1945, Australian Active Serice Medal 1945-1975, Elizabeth II Coronation Medal 1953); Air Marshal Rank insignia on epaulets; olive green nylon lining.
