This unit provided power and control to the video camcorder and light source in the Thermal Enclosure System-Crystal Observation System (TES-COS), equipment used for protein crystal growth experiments on the Space Shuttle.

The technical team who developed this equipment gave it to the Museum in 2012 when they began using newer, more advanced equipment.
