This medical accessory kit was stowed in the Apollo 9 Command Module in a compartment on the right side wall beside the lunar module pilot couch. The kit has three component layers filled with medical supplies and small medical equipment. It contains injectors to combat motion sickness and pain, a two ounce bottle of first aid ointment, one-ounce bottles of eye drops, nasal sprays, compress bandages, adhesive bandages, an oral thermometer, and a spare crew biomedical harness. It also includes antibiotics, pills for treating nausea and diarrhea, as well as stimulants, decongestants, aspirin and sleeping pills.
NASA transferred this kit to the Smithsonian in 1974.
