Collection History
Collected by Ralph Aspaas (1877-1939), who worked as an allotment agent for the Jicarilla Apache tribe from about 1905 to 1911 and his wife Allie Ward Aspaas (1881-1959), who worked in an Indian School at Dulce, New Mexico; inherited by their son Carl Henry Aspaas (1908-1975) and then by his daughters, Dr. Helen Ruth Aspaas and Carla Marie Aspaas Foland; donated to NMAI by Dr. Helen Ruth Aspaas and Carla Marie Aspaas Foland in 2003.
