Collected in 1898 by Robert B. Stanton (1846-1922, a civil and mining engineer) during a survey of Glen Canyon that he led for the Denver, Colorado Canyon, and Pacific Railroad; inherited by his daughter, Anne Maria Stanton Burchard (Mrs. Lewis Sayre Burchard, 1883-1966); donated to MAI by Mrs. Burchard in 1924.
