Collected by Reverend John Lynn Howe (1880-1952) and his wife Lorinda Jane Howe (1883-1967) when they served as missionaries in Hydaburg, Alaska, between 1915 and 1920; inherited by their daughter, Jane Thomas (1916-2011); donated to NMAI by Jane Thomas in 2004.
