Collection History
Said to have been made using a metal watchchain given by Reverend Walter Clark Roe (1859-1913) to Mountain (Inunaina) in 1898; subsequently in the collection of Reverend Walter Clark Roe or his wife Mary Wickham Roe (1863-1941), both of whom served as missionaries in Colony, Oklahoma, between 1897 and 1913; inherited by Mary Wickham Roe’s niece Marjorie Page Schauffler (Mrs. Bennet Fellows Schauffler, 1897-1983); donated to MAI by Mrs. Schauffler in 1981.
