Collection history unknown, but said to have been acquired from Pete Mayo's mother (Washoe) in 1882; acquired by Cohn’s Emporium (Carson City, Nevada), an Indian arts and basket store operated by Abe Cohn (1859-1934) at an unknown date; purchased by anthropologist Mark Raymond Harrington (1882-1971, MAI staff member) from Cohn's Emporium in 1924 during the Mark Raymond Harrington Nevada Expedition.
