Collection history unknown; formerly owned by Lorenzo Dow Flint (Dow Flint) Oklahoma Cherokee, ca. 1855-1936) and possibly found by him on the Grand River in Ottawa County, Oklahoma in 1899 or 1900; acquired from Dow Flint by Dr. William Clark Barnard, 1870-1945) at an unknown date; acquired from Dr. Barnard in 1908 by anthropologist Mark Raymond Harrington (1882-1971, MAI staff member) during fieldwork sponsored by George Heye.
