Made while the artist was an "Indian Artist in Residence" at the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts); purchased by Indian Arts and Crafts Board representatives from the artist in 1980; part of the IACB Headquarters collection (Department of the Interior, Washington, DC) until 2000 when it was transferred to NMAI.
