Said to have been made by a young Sioux man while he was in prison for two years after stealing a horse; given to Nellie Morse at an unknown date; given by Nellie Morse to Robert A. Warth (1904-1994) before 1921; inherited by his daughter Frances Warth Richey; donated to NMAI by Frances Warth Richey in 2005 in memory of Robert Warth.
