Show moreWe explore a large, complex equatorial coronal hole (ECH) and its immediate surroundings through the temperature dependence of the non-thermal line widths of three transition region emission lines observed by SOHO/SUMER, placing them in context with recent studies of the other spectroscopic measures taken. Using a recent semi-empirical model of the solar wind as a basis, we explore the structure of the solar wind during the observing period and seek to gain a better understanding of the interaction of this region with the nascent solar wind.
