Show moreThis report depicts the design and preliminary evaluation of an optical flowmeter for measurement of the liquid water content in warm clouds and rain showers. The sensing apparatus is a subminiature silicon photodiode which functions as a reflective scanner in measuring the water flow rate from a rotating bowl or centrifuge. The device is meant to be used on aircraft and requires relatively small power and simple laboratory calibration. Show less
