It is important to study the fumigation process because it can increase the ground-level concentration significantly during the daytime. This is true in the early morning for nocturnal inversion-breakup fumigation and throughout the day for coastal fumigation due to a near-shoreline elevated source (e.g., Misra, 1980). Show less
