Show moreThis report details the major programs, research, events, and achievements accomplished by NCAR in the fiscal year of 1997. Additionally, this website provides links to annual reports and highlights from NCAR's individual laboratories and divisions, as well as a message from the director and a list of publications by people involved with NCAR. The 'Community Service' heading provides additional information different achievements and roles held by NCAR's staff and scientists. A section titled 'Educational Activities' makes note of the developing role that NCAR plays in supporting science education for all levels of study through providing opportunities for scientific enrichment. Topics of interest include the development and incorporation of new technologies into NCAR's research as well as developing better understandings of the atmosphere, meteorology, and climate systems. This report documents some of the changes in data visualization and technology utilized by the institution throughout 1997.
