Show moreThirty-four levels of thermocouple temperature and 6 levels of aspirated temperature measurements were made from the main tower during CASES-99. Preliminary results indicate that the nighttime aspirated temperature measurements were slightly warmer (by ~0.1-0.2C) than the thermocouple temperatures. During the day the situation is reversed. The difference between the two temperature sensors will be studied as a function of wind speed and downward solar radiation. The signicance of the radiation effect on both sensors will be investigated. Show less
