Michael V. DiSalle was born January 6, 1908, in New York City. He was a democratic politician best remembered as mayor of Toledo, Ohio, from 1948 to 1950, director of the Office of Price Stabilization under President Harry S. Truman from 1950 to 1952, and governor of Ohio from 1959 to 1963. DiSalle died on September 16, 1981, in Italy.
