Shatz, Frank.

Frank Shatz was born in Czechoslovakia. He escaped from a Nazi slave labor camp and participated in underground activities. He worked as a journalist in Prague before escaping Communist rule with his wife Jaroslava. Shatz was the founder of the Lake Placid (N.Y.) Council on Foreign Policy. He and his wife created the Frank and Jaroslava Diplomat-in-Residence endowment at the College of William and Mary.
