Henry Lyster Walker was born on Grosse Ile, Mich. on Sept. 8, 1867. His father, Henry Nelson, was owner and editor of the Detroit Free Press from 1861 to 1875. His grandfather, Col. John Norvell, was the first senator from Michigan. Mr. Walker was married to Alica Ives, who died in 1848. At his death at the age of eighty-nine in Nov. 1956, Henry L. Walker was the oldest electrical engineer distributor in the City of Detroit. He founded the firm that bore his name. Mr. Walker was one of the first wholesalers of radio apparatus in the days of wireless telegraphy.
