Dentist. Keith McNurlen, a native of Dana, Iowa, received a B.S. (1942) and a D.D.S. (1950) from the State University of Iowa. He practiced dentistry in Ames from 1950 until his death in 1973. He was extremely prominent in the field of conservation, and served several appointments to Iowa conservation committees.
McNurlen was a member of the Iowa Conservation Commission, Governor's Committee on Conservation of Outdoor Resources, the Iowa Conservation Education Council, the Association of Midwest Fish and Game Commissioners, and the Story County Conservation Board.
