Printmaker and painter; Stamford, Conn.

Trained at Cooper Union, the Art Students League, and the Educational Alliance School of Art. Between 1934 and 1939, Schanker completed 11 mural panels for the Neponsit Beach Hospital on Long Island, and murals for radio station WNYC and the Science and Health Building at the New York World's Fair. He later taught at the New School and Bard College.
