Chicago singer, teacher, and choral conductor.
Born in 1876, Theodore Harrison was a concert baritone as well as faculty member at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, conductor of the Adult Chorus of the Hull-House Music School and director of the choir at First Congregational Church of Evanston, Illinois. Prior to joining the Conservatory faculty, Harrison sang widely at home and abroad. During World War I, he was commissioned by the government to help popularize tunes like "Over There" among men in army training camps. Harrison was married to Donna Esselstyn, voice teacher and accompanist. He died in 1965.
