Joseph Paul DiMaggio was born Giuseppe Paolo DiMaggio, Jr., on November 25, 1914, in Martinez, California. Nicknamed Joltin' Joe DiMaggio, and sometimes called the Yankee Clipper, DiMaggio play his entire baseball career with the New York Yankess from 1936 to 1951. He died on March 8, 1999.
