Bardene Allen studied in the 1950s with Frederick Hammersley at Pomona College She is an artist and former owner of the Fine Arts Gallery in Laguna Beach, California (1980-1983). She has worked in stone, wood, resin, and bronze; current works are large terracotta figures polychromed with unfired ceramic stains. Many of the figures are meant to amuse and include rock singers and musicians, cocktail part guests, beach people.
