Hickman, Mabel Irene 1896-1992
Mabel Hickman was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was baptized in 1921 by Harold B. Lee. She lived in Palo Alto, California, for several years and served as part-time missionary in California Mission. In 1947 she began employment with Church Building Department in Salt Lake City, Utah, and served briefly as secretary for LeGrand Richards. She left Church employment in 1956 and moved to Mesa, Arizona. She served as full-time missionary in Northwestern States Mission, 1960-1962. After returning to Mesa, she opened typing business, worked two years for Arizona Temple and transcribed patriarchal blessings until age eighty-eight.
