Grauman buildt and operated six theaters in the San Francisco area. He booked the leading vaudevillian performers of the era. He moved to Los Angeles where he buildt and operated movie theaters, among them the Egyptian Theater on Hollywodd Boulevard, and the Chinese Theater.
