From the description of Oboe concerto / by Eugene Goossen. [19--?] (Franklin & Marshall College). WorldCat record id: 49817957

Originally sketched out as orchestral pieces, Goossens' publisher suggested he postpone the orchestration and convert them into piano pieces. After composing an additional piece, they were published as "Three nature poems for piano," op. 25. Eighteen years later the composer returned to completing the orchestration for two of the pieces, "Pastoral" and "Bacchanal."--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
