President George W. Bush addresses the nation from the Treaty Room in the White House to update the American people on the U.S. response to terrorism. Bush announces that the United States military has begun strikes on Al-Queda terrorist training camps and military installations of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. This has been done to disrupt the use of Afghanistan as a terrorist base of operations. Bush says we are not alone in the fight, as Great Britain, Canada, Australia, France, and other nations are doig their part to help. He explains that none of the demands he set for Afghanistan in the previous month, including the freedom of foreign nationals and handing over members of the Taliban regime.
