Norbert Bikales, a Holocaust survivor, talks about his experiences
Norbert Bikales, who as a child was one of 400 Jewish children saved from the Holocaust by the people of the tiny French village of Chabannes, talks about his experiences and reflects on the meaning of the village's efforts. Michigan State University Professor of Education Steven Weiland convenes the session. Dr. Kenneth Waltzer, Director of the MSU Jewish Studies Center, introduces Bikales and the film "The Children of Chabannes" which is screened during the session but not recorded. Bikales answers questions from the audience. Part of the Michigan State University Libraries' Colloquia Series. Held at the MSU Main Library.
