Benjamin F. Marsh Letter : August 29, 1862

Benjamin writes to his family about some financial concerns, then describes his travels south. He mentions that he bought fifty cakes (what kind is unclear) with a counterfeit half dollar. Benjamin picks back up on September 1st from Baltimore. He says he has a toothache and he heard (erroneously) that Stonewall Jackson was captured by Union troops.
