O.G. Dunckel Letter : April 3, 1865

This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel wants to send money home for his wife to buy a cow; he says to ask their neighbors for help if she needs anymore money for family affairs. He can't get a furlough because of Sherman's next active campaign planned. He also addresses some of his children at the end with fatherly love.
