Benjamin F. Marsh Letter : January 27, 1863

Benjamin responds to the news that his father passed away. He hopes to see him again in a place with no war and he worries about his mother's health. Benjamin goes on to note that he came within earshot of Confederate troops digging rifle pits and General Ambrose Burnside was relieved of duty.
