Scope and Content

This collection (1909-1990, undated) consists of two hundred and forty-three photographs of individual cars from Iowa trains, including rail cars, trolleys, engines, and snowplows. Almost all are identified with the railroad company, type, class, builder, year, location, and a brief description of the locomotive's function. The majority of the photographs are gelatin prints.
