Scope and Content
This collection (2006-2008) contains course notes from several classes, an Honors Program oral history project, and the final report submitted by Ringgenberg for his study abroad program. His course notes include syllabi and class handouts as well as essays, notes, and reports by Ringgenberg for classes in anthropology, history, and philosophy.

Biography/Profile
Ian Mackenzie Ringgenberg was born on May 6, 1986 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He received his B.S. (2008) in anthropology from Iowa State University. He is the fourth generation of his family to attend Iowa State.
At Iowa State, Ringgenberg studied abroad in Mongolia for a semester in the fall of 2006. He was a member and graduate of the Honors Program, for which he completed an oral history project documenting student life at Iowa State. Additionally, he was involved in many campus activities. He was appointed to the 2007-2008 GSB president’s cabinet as Director of Student Affairs. He served as an officer on several campus groups including the Anthropology Club, LAS Student Council, Honors Student Board, and Harwood House. He was the 2008 recipient of the W. Robert Parks award for Outstanding Honors Student. He worked in the ISU Library Special Collections Department from 2006-2009.
After graduation, Ringgenberg returned to Iowa State as a graduate student in the spring of 2009, a position he maintains as of writing (2009).
