Biographical / Historical Note
The Las Vegas Golden Agila Lions Club was chartered and installed as an official club on August 24, 1996 at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Golden Agila Lions Club membership is comprised of members of the Flipino community in Las Vegas and the organization serves as both a community service and social club. The Golden Agila Lions has worked on civic projects such as hosting a job fair to place members of the community in jobs at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino and the Luxor and raising money for the Lions SightFirst Foundation of Southern Nevada for eye surgeries and treatments for underprivileged community members. As a social club, the Golden Agila Lions have collaborated with other Agila Lions Clubs in the Southwest to host social events.
