Abstract

The Yount Family Papers (1976) document the history of the Yount family. The collection is comprised of a letter from Leonard Fayle to John L. Yount and a brief handwritten history about the Yount family. Also included is a transcript of an interview with an unknown Yount family member. .

Scope and Contents Note

The Yount Family Papers date to 1976 and document the history of the Yount family. The collection is comprised of a letter from Leonard Fayle to John L. Yount and a brief handwritten history about the Yount family. The collection also contains a transcript of an interview with an unknown Yount family member. In the late 1800s, the Yount family helped develop the town of Pahrump, located in the Southern Nevada area.

Materials were donated in 1979 by Leonard R. Fayle; accession number 79-292.

Processing Note

Materials were processed in 2015 by Hana Gutierrez. Hana Gutierrez combined two collections formerly "Leonard Fayle Papers", MS-00032 and "Yount, John L." MS-00033, to create the Yount Family Papers, MS-00033. The two collections shared an accession number and documented the same Yount family.Subsequently Hana Gutierrez created the finding aid and entered the data into ArchivesSpace.
