Abstract
The Marc Weiswasser Papers are comprised of materials from approximately 1976 to 2002 documenting Marc Weiswasser's career in the Las Vegas, Nevada gaming industry. The collection includes instructional guides and handbooks for table game dealers, employee handbooks and newsletters from the Flamingo Hilton and MGM Grand Las Vegas materials, as well as interviews and articles about Marc Weiswasser. The collection also includes newspaper clippings about the gaming industry and video recordings from the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming. There are also reports from the Nevada Gaming Control Board regarding Regulation 6A, which deals with cash transactions prohibitions, reporting, and record keeping. The collection also includes a variety materials about the Casino Managamenet Association (CMA) including a promotional video, conference fliers, invitations, photographs from various CMA events, and educational materials related to casino operations.

The Marc Weiswasser Papers are comprised of materials dating from approximately 1976 to 2002 documenting Marc Weiswasser's career in the gaming industry, including his experiences as a Tables Games Dealer for the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas from 1984 to 1993, Floor Supervisor for MGM Grand Las Vegas from 1993 to 1999, and Executive Director of Casino Management Association from 1996 to 2000. Materials include instructional guides and handbooks for table game dealers on how to play various table games such as Pai Gow, Baccarat, and Blackjack. Other materials include employee and cast member handbooks and newsletters from the Flamingo Hilton and MGM Grand Las Vegas as well as interviews and articles about Marc Weiswasser and copies of his professional headshot. The collection also includes newspaper clippings about the gaming industry and video recordings from the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming. The collection also includes reports from the Nevada Gaming Control Board regarding Regulation 6A which deals with cash transactions prohibitions, reporting, and record keeping. Biographical / Historical Note
Marc Weiswasser started his career in the gaming industry by working as a Tables Games Dealer for the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas from 1984 to 1993. He then became a Floor Supervisor for the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino from 1993 to 1999. Weiswasser became the Executive Director of Casino Management Association (CMA) in 1996. The CMA is a non-profit organization that is a dedicated to promoting education, training, and networking opportunities for management professionals in the gaming industry. CMA holds chapters in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as Detroit, Michigan and Puerto Rico. Weiswasser left CMA in 2000 to take on the role of Managing Member for CasinoRecruiter.com, an executive search firm that focuses on the gaming and hospitality industry. CasinoRecruiter.com recruits for both domestic and international casinos, Native American properties, river boats, and land based commercial casinos and gaming manufacturers.

Acquisition Note
Materials were donated in 2016 and 2017 by Marc Weiswasser; accession numbers 2016-048, 2016-060, 2017-137.
Processing Note
The collection was minimally processed by Tammi Kim in 2016 and 2018 at the time of accessioning. The materials were quickly reviewed to provide a general description of the contents of each box and an estimate of dates represented in the material. Loose papers were foldered. No further work was performed on the materials. Data were ingested off of ten 3.5" floppy disks. Files were converted from TIFF to JPEG files. Accessioning archivist was unable to transfer data from one corrupt floppy disk.
