An avid organizer of home poker tournaments, Wuehle was cited in 1985 for organizing a poker fundraiser in Escanaba, Michigan. Under the pseudonym "Scotty Barkley" (also found under the spelling "Scotty Barclay") he wrote Poker, the Small Limit Game and Poker, the Small Limit Game, Book 2 both of which were published by Las Vegas' Gambler's Book Club press under the aegis of Howard Schwartz. Under the pseudonym and his own name, he also wrote articles for various gaming publications such as Gambling Times and Card Player.
