Biographical / Historical Note

Congregation Ner Tamid (CNT) was founded in 1974 by a group of families who wanted to establish a Reform synagogue in Las Vegas, Nevada. The congregation originally met in homes, churches, and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. High Holy Days were held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In the 1980s, they built a synagogue on Emerson Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2001 the CNT Board of Trustees embarked on a capital campaign to build a new campus and learning center. In 2005 CNT created the Greenspun Campus for Jewish Life, Learning, and Spiritual Renewal. On February 25, 2007 CNT opened their new location on 55 N. Valle Verde Drive in Henderson, Nevada.
